Mt. Wilson is part of the San Gabriel Mountains located just North of Pasadena. The peak of Mt. Wilson is at 5,700′ with a 13 mile ride back down the mountain. This ride is often described as one of the most technical rides in So Cal. It is loose, steep, off camber and has some exposure.
Enduro Day has a great sampling of the variety of trails this area has to offer with jaw dropping views of the city below.
A half-day of gravity assist riding on a few of my favorite trails: Red Box, Mt. Hillyer, Christian Camp, Silver Moccasin, Charlton Flats ending with a 4,000′ descent on the Frontside (Mt. Lowe. Middle Sam Merrill, Sunset, El Prieto)
Pack a lunch and plenty of water, you’ll be gone all day. You must be able to carry off any items that you brought on the shuttle at the final drop off at approximately 1 pm
- Advanced Riders Only! Trails are technical: loose, rocky, off camber, steep, exposure
- Full Face helmet and knee/elbow protection highly recommended.
- The weather is unpredictable this time of year, please be prepared for wet and cold conditions.
After the ride, we’ll share our stories about our adventure at the Congregation Ale House in Pasadena.
